Listening for God's Invitation

Send us your questions and reflections!There is a difference between simply reading the Bible and truly listening for what God wants to say through it.In this episode of The Journey, we reflect on Proverbs 2:1–6 and its invitation to seek God’s wisdom as though searching for hidden treasure. Scripture is more than information about God. Through His Word, God reveals His character, helps us understand our lives, and invites us into a deeper relationship with Him.We also return to Ephesians 2:4–10 and receive its message of grace personally. God is not merely rich in mercy toward people in general—He is merciful toward you. You are loved, made alive with Christ, saved by grace, and called God’s handiwork.As you listen, take out your travel log or journal. Rewrite Ephesians 2:4–10 in the first person without changing its meaning. Notice which words or phrases capture your attention, and then reflect on these questions:Why did these particular words capture my attention?What is God inviting me to through this passage?Perhaps God is inviting you to receive His love, stop trying to earn His grace, release your shame, recognize your God-given identity, or take a faithful next step.
