Little House on the Prairie S2 Ep14 A Matter of Faith

In this episode, otherwise known as the “Caroline almost chops her leg off” or “Caroline’s self-surgery” episode, Caroline gets a day alone to relax and bake 15 pies but her bliss is interrupted by a near-death experience, because of course it is. She almost dies from an infected scratch which she got from Pa’s shoddy workmanship on his wagon and Rev Alden’s inability to fundraise. We try to figure out who the a-hole is who distracted Doc Baker from treating Caroline, but fail and we now realize that all old-timey guys and their sons look the same to us. We also don’t recognize cows.
