The little Lord Jesus asleep on the hay? God? Little? How does that even work? Is it true? How does that affect me? If we don't learn to see God in the minutiae, we will miss God in the majority of our lives. God is so big and so powerful that He can hold, and therefore control, the whole universe in the palm of His hand. Yet He is so small that He fits into the smallest detail of our lives. That is a side of God many don't see. Everybody loves the baby Jesus. It's here that we see the softness and vulnerability of God, and it is very comforting and attractive to us, that God would be like that. However, now that He is grown up, He is still the same. His character hasn't changed - He's still the same God. If God is big, He is in control. If God is small, He cares. If God is both...wow, what a powerful combination. God becomes Human. Big becomes small.
