Jared Kleinstein, CEO of Fresh Tape Media and @OnGondola joins The Trey Wingo Show to tell the story behind his company’s lawsuit against LIV Golf over more than $1.2 million in unpaid work. Fresh Tape had worked with LIV since 2024, helping produce its media days and coordinating everything from branded and commercial shoots to podcasts and content production. Jared says the relationship was positive, the work was approved and there had been no payment problems before. Then the money stopped coming. As Fresh Tape waited to be paid, Jared says his company made sure its own creatives and contractors were taken care of. “Not a single vendor was paid late” through Fresh Tape, even while the company itself was still waiting on LIV. Jared explains when he realized this was becoming more than a normal late invoice, the repeated attempts to resolve the situation, and the offer that changed everything: according to Jared, LIV offered $200,000 to settle roughly $1.2 million in outstanding invoices before reducing that offer to $150,000. He also responds to LIV CEO Scott O’Neil’s comments about wanting to do right by vendors and explains why, despite the lawsuit, he does not have the anger toward LIV that many might expect. In fact, if Fresh Tape is paid and the right protections are in place, Jared says he would work with a potential LIV 2.0 again.
