Live as the One Who Loved - Audio

What does it mean to follow Jesus in everyday life? In John 14, Jesus tells his disciples, “If you love me, keep my commands.” But Jesus is not calling us into a cold, transactional obedience. He is inviting us to live the love we have first received from him. In this sermon, we look at John 14 verses 15–21, 1 Peter 3 verses 13–22, and Acts 17 verses 22–31 to explore what it means to live the love of Jesus. Following Jesus begins with loving him, keeping his commands, worshiping with his people, relying on the help of the Holy Spirit, sharing the hope of the gospel, and persevering until the end. Eternal life is not only something we receive later. It is a life we begin living now. And as Jesus’ people, we are called to live his love in the world.
