The Finnish author gained popularity with his debut novel "The Angels of Hammurabi" (original title: "Uskollinen lukija"), which was published in 2016. The foreign publishing rights have been sold to 40 countries (as of 08/2022). In early December 2019 Greg Silverman's  Stampede Ventures announced that they have acquired The Faithful Reader for a TV series adaptation in Hollywood.
