Hey, I mean, hey girl and you are tuned in to try and find out what's trending today Hey there and welcome back to tweet trends today is national live creative day. Let's get started I am really excited about today's topic, but before I get into that I do want to point out the fact that if you notice any differences in the sound quality of today's episode It's because I'm recording today in a different studio than what I normally record in So just please know and understand that if you notice any differences, hopefully it's not going to take away from your enjoyment of today's episode But by the time next episode rolls around I should be back in my normal recording studio Okay, the fact that today is national live creative day.
This is like my own personal Christmas I am a creative and maybe you're saying to yourself like I hear people referring to creatives and stuff like that But I really don't know what a creative is here's the test if you want to know if you're a creative Think about the scenario and if you actually fit the description So there's a person and they are in like a Dollar Tree They're walking up and down the aisles of the store looking at the various items for sale And then something catches their eye and immediately they don't see this item as what it is for face value on the shelf It has become something new. It's taken on a new life a new purpose all with a few little tweaks and you know Craft items maybe some more serious items maybe a saw or something like that But whatever the item is that's on the shelf in your mind has become something completely different It has evolved into something else if you have thoughts like that when you're walking through stores and seeing things then it's a pretty Good indication that you are also a creative now living creatively I think everybody can do it Even if you don't think that you have that creative spark within you that you can just take something and turn it into something else Because you can always get directions on something and learn to be creative learn to try your hand at things now Some people just don't have the patience for it and I understand that I actually was supposed to be doing an activity with my relatives once We were doing these roses turning men's neckties into roses And I had the greatest vision in my head about how this was supposed to play out and everybody basically bailed on me And I think it just kind of boils down to the idea that maybe not so much that they aren't creatives at all But their creativity does not come by way of doing things with their hands My sister is more of a creative when it comes to the sewing machine My niece is more of a creative when it comes to coming up with business ideas and then there's me I feel like I'm a jack of all trades I like painting and clay work and resin All sorts of things rug hook any anything creative where I get to express myself through some other means Oh, that's a good day. I Believe that the birth of the world wide web was like the biggest Christmas gift to a creative Because simply you can go anywhere online and get so much good information That you can actually try yourself. It's not not all places like Etsy where people want you to buy their creativity But instead there are places online where you can go and people are sharing their creativity They're showing you how to do what they know how to do because they know and understand that one There's enough money in the world for everyone and if we all want to sell this product to this this craft Then we can and nobody's really cutting into the next person's market because there's no way you can reach everyone in the world So therefore why not share the gift with somebody else the other thing I think creatives know is that I'm only helping myself if I share with you because let's say I share with you something that I created I made up in my mind like oh, you know what this is pretty cool to do then I share it with you take it You tweak it you share it again now I have access to this new thing that you created off of what I started So now I have even more options than what I did when I first got started with my initial idea So why not share the wealth share the creativity?
I actually get a really great feeling when I do that sort of thing now Where do I get this information from all sorts of places? There's videos on YouTube of course, you know TikTok has become one of my favorite places one because the videos are short and There are so many creatives on TikTok and the stuff that they're sharing in some cases. It's absolutely amazing Sometimes I just watch it just to see the creativity unfold. Yeah now the other item the app that I like looking at is Pinterest now In the beginning I didn't understand Pinterest.
I'm like I don't get it This is a virtual pegboard and then I had a student she was like I'm telling you if you start using it the right way You're going to get addicted and then I started doing some searches doing a little research on it and then that's when I started finding the creative stuff on Pinterest and Now it's expanded for me to recipes creativity even home decor and landscaping and everything There's so much stuff out there in Pinterest land that if you haven't at least considered looking into it Like what are you waiting for? The holiday season is right around the corner and you know what that means right? Creativity is going to get kicked into overdrive like the fact that people are going to be doing DIY Christmas gifts Christmas ornaments There's your table settings for Thanksgiving Halloween OMG There's everything for Halloween and then for each one of these events there are like door reefs and various types of Decorations for inside your home or just oh my gosh the possibilities are endless So I just want to say a big thank you to whoever created these machines like the cricket the 3d printer All of these different things. Thank you because you have provided an outlet for me to then go and create and Just imagine things be imaginative.
It's kind of like Re- Invigorates or wakes up that child within you like I look at my daughter She's eight years old and she has got the biggest and best imagination And I don't want anything to kill that so whenever she gets to thinking about stuff or imagining different She's always talking about making machines and whatnot and my thing is hey sketch it out Put it on paper because when you have these ideas when you're being creative when that spark hits you sometimes if you don't get it out Then it's gone it'll disappear that that creativity that was hovering around you it'll go to the next person and And you don't want that you want that creativity that spark that idea to kind of hang out with you for a little while And you know play around with it work with it interact with it and you never know what you're you could possibly come up with as an end result Just from simply sitting around using your imagination and trying to re-imagine Something that is probably so plain Jane that it's like wow that is amazing All right, then thank you for joining me on today's episode of tweet trends now You may not think that you're a creative But I believe that every person has a little bit of creativity in them because when you think about the work creativity Really all you're doing is saying that this is the act of thinking outside of the box So rather it is something that you're doing with your hands on the computer in the kitchen wherever you're doing it It's all about just being free and open to let your imagination run wild If you need to get your imagination going get it primed Why not go outside layout in the grass and look up at the clouds and see what you can see up there and get it going get it started Because we all started our lives with the biggest imaginations and believing that we could do just about anything And then the world came in and it kind of put a damper on people's fears like now You can't do that and you can't do that either and you can't do that And I believe creatives push against that urge to think that there's something that they can't do and they make it happen They they make it do the darn thing So that's what I'm asking you to do get out there and do something creative if it's just doing some doodles on a piece of Paper add some color to it make it creative, you know, you've got it in you let it out today's your day Let that creativity shine.
