Work easily takes over life, while rest can become another master. God set apart one day in seven so people could stop, delight in His creation, meet with Him, and protect a healthy rhythm of work and rest. Sin turns good work into toil and distorts both labour and leisure, making either one an idol. Sunday celebrates Jesus’ resurrection, but no day can restore God’s complete rest.
