(00:00-26:42) – Query & Company kicks off on a Tuesday from Droplight Grand Park with Jake Query discussing how Purdue is zeroing in on a new athletic director. Jake mentions that Purdue’s new athletic director will need to work hard at expanding the NIL budget for the Boilermakers. Casey Vallier, Indianapolis Colts Radio Coordinator and In-Game Studio Host, stops by to help Jake understand what today’s practice is all about, how yesterday’s practice went, and whether there is a kicking competition between Spencer Shrader and Blake Grupe or not. (26:42-46:30) – Tom Dienhart from On3 joins Query & Company to address the rumors that the Purdue Boilermakers have identified Tommy McLelland as the lead candidate for their Athletic Director position. They also discuss the job that the new athletic director with creating more funds for the NIL budget to be able to compete in football. Jake points out that his background at Rice and Vanderbilt will help him tremendously in West Lafayette. (46:30-51:06) – Jake Query concludes the first hour of the program by revealing that he can’t tell a difference between a high end Italian restaurant or a chain in connection to the conversation the morning show guys had with Lou Anarumo today. (51:06-1:23:16) – Scott Agness from Fieldhouse Files joins Jake Query to talk all things Indiana Fever with the team having a couple days off after a three-game road trip after the All-Star Break. They dive into Sunday’s loss to the Minnesota Lynx, the constant storylines about the Fever that aren’t about basketball, if all the storylines could lead to a divide within the locker room, and previews Thursday’s matchup against the Las Vegas Aces. (1:23:16-1:43:21) – Indianapolis Colts safety Cam Bynum joins Jake Query from Droplight Grand Park to give his perspective on how training camp has gone so far and the decision by Lou Anarumo to make him the player responsible with calling the plays in the huddle. He explains to Jake what all goes on within the communication in the helmet, which wide receiver outside of Josh Downs has stood out, and believes Justin Walley is going to be a really good player based off what he’s seen between last year and this year. (1:43:21-2:12:53) – The final hour of Query & Company starts with Jake discussing IU asking out of the non-conference series with Notre Dame and the Fighting Irish replacing the Hoosiers with USC. ESPN.com’s Stephen Holder joins Jake Query to give his opinion on when Alec Pierce is going to return to the field, if we are approaching concern territory for week one, and the QB2 battle between Riley Leonard and Anthony Richardson Sr. Finally, they highlight one player that has stood out in a position of need for the Colts. (2:12:53-2:22:39) – Eli Gehn from WTHR makes his first appearance on Query & Company from Droplight Grand Park to discuss his observations from Colts training camp with Jake Query. They also get into how he landed in Indianapolis by discussing where he grew up and where he worked prior to joining Channel 13.
