Live from Italy: Kong: Skull Island (2017) with Jack
from Review It Yourself
"This has just become a moan-fest".Recorded once again live in Italy on Sean's phone in an extremely echoey apartment, this episode marks the final episode of the Italy mini-series. It did not end well.Jack is back to review Kong: Skull Island (2017) with a very sweary Sean.My Guest: Find Jack on Instagram at 'idratherjack'.Discussion Points:-Sean would rather review the apartment. -Jack was worried that Sean was having some kind of medical emergency with the sighing and heavy breathing.-Jack tries to discuss the film, whilst Sean just chucks around obscenities. -The sheer number of scene changes.-The lighting, script and direction of the film.-Sean still hasn't seen a decent performance from Brie Larson, although admittedly she had nothing to work with here. -The Spider bit was decent.-Sean is so enraged he rates the film, even though he never rates films.-The awful Marvel rip-off humour.Raised Questions:-Did this film have a song quota?-Was this film written by teenagers for teenagers?-Why didn't this film go full-on Snakes on a Plane mode?-Is this film insulting to your intelligence?-Why doesn't the Japanese soldier shoot the gun again?-A perpetual storm-system?-How did this film do so well at the box office? Thanks for listening!Trailer: FilmFloggers podcast.
