Do you know anything about the life of an eagle? I didn't, and then I came across a video about the life of an eagle and instantly God used it as an illustration of our journey with Him. Throughout our lives, multiple times, we must get rid of our old selves so a new one can emerge. And often times it's a painful process. It's hard to let go of things that make us feel comfortable, things we know, people we love. The story of an eagles life is very similar to ours, there comes a point where we have a decision to make...to either let go of the past and step into a better future, or keep doing the same thing, being the same person and die in our own misery. I don't know about you, but I'd rather go through a painful process that is temporary so I can experience freedom and joy on the other side. God has promised us a better life when we walk with Him, when we choose Christ and turn our back on sin, we become new and the best versions of ourselves.
