In July 2007, Rivals.com was acquired by Yahoo!. Terry is also Co-Founder and led Pop Culture Media (ComicBook.com and PopCulture.com). In April 2017, Pop Culture Media was acquired by CBS Interactive. Companies founded by Shannon have generated more than $750 million in online revenue over the past decade. Terry has received numerous accolades in business and entrepreneurship over the past two decades, being named to the Nashville Entrepreneur Center’s 2016 Hall of Fame class. Terry was named to the SportsBusiness Journal’s Forty Under 40 in 2006 and 2007, and the SportsBusiness Journal’s Forty Under 40 Hall of Fame in 2008. Terry was the trade publication’s first digital media Hall of Fame recipient. Terry was also named to the trade publication’s 20 Most Influential People in Online Sports (ranked No. 11 & No. 14, respectively) list in 2007 and 2008.
