Chad Gracey and Mike Bailey discussed their drumming careers, how Mike got involved playing with Brett Michaels and Mike's participation in April Sandwell's annual drumathon charity event for breast cancer awareness. During the pandemic, Mike launched a side business making custom furniture / art out of repurposed drums, like lamps, clocks and shelves. He detailed the creative process and materials used to craft unique, artistic pieces. The guys discuss April's drumathon that brings top drummers together each year to perform and raise money for breast cancer causes. Mike contributes pieces for auction and fundraising, praising April's strength and the event's ability to unite musicians for an important cause. Mike described his multi-year battle with basal cell skin cancer, including a major surgery requiring tissue from his forehead be grafted to reconstruct his nose. He continues regular checks and advocates vigilant skin care to catch issues early.
