Live to Love Scripture Encouragement John 9.19

John 9:19 and they questioned them, saying, "Is this your son, who you say was born blind? Then how does he now see?" Maybe the parents could get them out of the dilemma by testifying that this was their son and that he was never blind. Then it could all be declared a fraud. Or maybe they had another explanation that would allow them to deny the miracle and expose Jesus as a charlatan. As we will see, they have already decided what is true. They had a narrative regarding Jesus. They would not accept the truth because it would undo what they wanted to believe about themselves. Therein lies the heart and truth of the matter. They were the sinners. They were blind. They were condemned and guilty of murder in their hearts. Do you remember when you saw that truth about yourselves? That painful truth is what enabled us to see Jesus and surrender our lives to Him. How do we now see? We have been loved by Jesus.
