Marissa Turton, is a passionate sports media professional with a dynamic career in broadcasting and communications. A graduate of Herzing College’s Broadcasting and Media Communications program in Winnipeg (2021), Marissa began her journey with an internship at Global News/680 CJOB. She then joined 680 CJOB as a News and Sports Anchor, delivering trusted news for over a year and a half. Transitioning into journalism and production, Marissa contributed to the Global Winnipeg Morning Show as a Writer/Producer/Journalist for a year and a half before moving into a similar role for the 6pm News. Her love for storytelling and statistics found a unique home with 680 CJOB’s Blue Bombers Pregame Show, where she created and delivered a stats-based segment called Did You Know for three seasons. Now based in Toronto, Marissa serves as the Coordinator of Player and Game Statistics for the Canadian Football League (CFL), having relocated in October 2024 at the age of 23. She also started a new Twitter account dedicated to CFL Stats and manages posts on the CFL Stats X account, sharing insights with fans across the league.
