Live With CDP Sports Talk, Guest: Ryan Reed, Founder of the Women's Basketball League (WBL) Season #10, Episode #25, April 5th, 2025

Detroit, Michigan native Ryan Reed is the founder of Women's Basketball League (WBL) which has 6 teams starting up in their inaugural season, Chicago Flames, Cleveland Rockers, Detroit Shock, Toronto North Stars, Grand Rapids Soul, Indiana Thunder. Recently Ryan, was informed that he was the first Black man to form an all-women's sports league. While this fact blew my mind, his goal was simple: to provide women with opportunities to advance their careers. Making history was never my intention, but I am proud to be a part of it.Founded on the rich legacy of the original Women's Basketball League (WBL) which pioneered the realm of American women's professional basketball in 1978, our league emerges as a tribute to its groundbreaking spirit. With a nod to the past and a vision for the future, we embark on this journey with six formidable teams: the Detroit Shock, Cleveland Rockers, Grand Rapids Soul, Chicago Flames, and Indiana Thunder, Toronto North Stars. The WBL isn't just about games; it's about honoring the trailblazers who paved the way and propelling the sport forward by creating more opportunities for athletes. As we lace up our shoes and step onto the court, we carry the legacy of those who came before us, knowing that every dribble, every shot, and every victory contributes to a future where women's basketball continues to flourish#ryanreed #womensbasketballleague #livewithcdp #chrispomay #barrycullenchevrolet #clevelandrockers #detroitshock #torontonorthstars #grandrapidssoul #chicagoflames #indianathunder https://www.wbl2024.comhttps://beacons.ai/chrisdpomayhttps://www.cameo.com/chrispomayhttps://www.paypal.com/paypalme/chris...Want to create live streams like this?
