Allison Bourke, or Allie as her friends lovingly call her, is a true force of nature in the community! From a young age, she was twirling across the stage with the National Ballet of Canada, playing basketball and competing in dance competitions like a pro. But when knee injuries and five ACL surgeries slowed her down, she switched gears—though not without leaving behind some major dance and court shoes to fill!Allie didn’t stop there. With a passion for learning and a heart full of big dreams, she dove into Early Childhood Education, teaching, and psychology. Those expensive degrees? Totally worth it, because they gave her the knowledge to do some serious good in the world. After teaching English in Japan (yes, Allie’s a world traveler too!), she came back to Canada and took the reins at Oxford Learning Waterloo in 2013, where her impact on education has been nothing short of inspiring.But wait, there’s more! Allie’s a total multitasker—she’s not just an education advocate, she’s also a model, an actress, and an audiobook narrator. She loves stepping into new roles and bringing her energy to everything she does. In fact, she got scouted by a modeling agent in 2021 and has been having a blast ever since, winning competitions, landing commercials, and showing off her stunning talent. Over the last five years, she’s even dipped her toes into acting and voiceover work, influencing and more, because why not? Allie’s always up for a new challenge!Beyond her personal career, Allie is deeply committed to giving back. She’s involved in initiatives like Black Innovation Hub and Food4Kids, helping meet community needs, and she’s a key player in committees like Women’s Leadership and Libro’s Council, where her leadership skills shine. A passion for Allie is watching her beloved KW Titans thrive in this community. She's been in attendance since the beginning, 8 years ago and has been a sponsor with Oxford Learning Waterloo just as long.
