LIVING A FRUITFUL LIFE
from The Kingdom Of God First Podcast. · host Tewe Kolade Felix
📖 Scripture “Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.” — John 15:8 Devotional Message God did not create us merely to exist; He created us to be fruitful. A fruitful life is one that reflects God's character, fulfills His purpose, blesses others, and brings glory to His name. Fruitfulness is more than material success. You can have possessions and still lack spiritual fruit. True fruitfulness begins in the heart and flows into every area of life. Jesus taught that fruitfulness comes from remaining connected to Him. A branch cannot produce fruit when it is disconnected from the vine. Likewise, we cannot live a consistently fruitful Christian life through human strength alone. Abide in Christ. Remain in His Word. Stay faithful in prayer. Follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. Walk in obedience. When you remain connected to Christ, His life begins to produce visible fruit through you. The fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control—should become increasingly evident in your life. These qualities demonstrate that God is transforming you from within. Fruitfulness also means being a blessing to others. Your words can encourage someone. Your generosity can meet a need. Your testimony can give someone hope. Your wisdom can guide someone. Your service can advance God's kingdom. Never underestimate the impact of a life surrendered to God. Fruitfulness takes time. A tree does not produce fruit immediately after being planted. It must first develop roots, receive nourishment, survive changing seasons, and continue growing. Likewise, God may take you through seasons of preparation before your fruit becomes visible. Do not become discouraged by slow progress. Keep growing. Keep learning. Keep praying. Keep serving. Keep trusting God. There may also be seasons when God prunes you. Pruning can be uncomfortable because God may remove habits, relationships, attitudes, or priorities that are preventing greater fruitfulness. Do not resist His correction. What He removes today may create room for greater fruit tomorrow. Your goal should not simply be to produce fruit once, but to live a life that continually bears fruit. Let your faith produce character. Let your character produce good works. Let your good works point people to Christ. Let your life become evidence of God's transforming grace. Today, Ask Yourself What kind of fruit is my life producing, and does it reflect the character and purpose of Christ? Prayer Almighty Father, thank You for calling me to live a fruitful life. Help me remain deeply connected to Christ and rooted in Your Word. Produce in me the fruit of the Spirit and remove everything that hinders my spiritual growth. Make my life a blessing to others and let everything I do bring glory to Your name. In Jesus' name, Amen. 🙏
