Living & Breathing Short Term Rentals as a Respiratory Therapist with Alex Sabio - Episode #201

from In The Lab with Ruben Kanya · host Ruben Kanya

Alex Sabio is a respiratory care practitioner turned real estate investor who not only lives and breathes real estate but he does so while still having his profession as respiratory therapist. Alex has grown his portfolio while hiring the best resources to help him and selecting the right kind of properties to maximize thousands of dollars in net cash flow per month to optimize for freedom and essentially spend quality time with his family. Alex currently has 5 short term rentals + 2 under contract and is able to implement systems and does it out of state. Alex talks about trying to syndicate apartments and then his CPA (Amanda Hahn) tapped him on his shoulder to look into STR to material participation hours to claim as  real estate professional. Asking the simple question on where to invest next, led him to discover the Smokey Mountains in July 2020. From this deal, he was able to learn a business and then was able to teach it to his very niched community. He today has found tremendous fulfillment helping other healthcare professionals also achieve financial freedom. Alex quickly became the source of inspiration and practitioner to model within his healthcare network. It’s one thing to have success in your own experiments but it’s another to help others achieve their own. Alex is living and breathing example of that as the respiratory therapist that doesn’t need to help others as healthcare practitioner to make a living but he simply does because he chooses to, the same way he’s chosen to live and breathe short term rentals and help others do the same.
