Church can feel like a Sunday event or an optional extra, but Paul describes it as the shared life of everyone Christ saves. God's grace gives Christians a new calling, then shapes them to live with humility, gentleness, patience and love. Christ has not left His people to mature alone. He gives people who proclaim the gospel and equips every member to build up His body, so the church grows in truth, service and unity.
