The Big Idea: Biblical faith is never practiced in the abstract, but always at street level. This is what we have been learning from Hebrews 11, God’s ‘hall of faith.’ In our passage this morning, we discover that faith in God is demonstrated and strengthened as it triumphs over great obstacles and perseveres through great sufferings. Ultimately, true saving faith keeps looking to Jesus for all things.
