Living Faithfully Amid Spiritual Decline 5: Generosity in times of want - 2 Kings 4:38-44

Much as we don't desire it, times of want come to us. In the last couple years, I've seen the need at our front door increasing. And many of us in the last year have changed where we shop, there are certain things we no longer buy or eat or do, because things are more expensive and the level of income hasn't changed. How do we live faithful to God in a season of financial want? How does it impact our generosity, compassion and faith? We are walking through the life of the prophet Elisha where the overarching theme is how to live faithfully in a time of spiritual decline, which is also the reality in our nation and city. But part of the complicating reality is that Elisha is also in a season of famine that leaves practically everybody scrambling. Today we will look at 2 Kings 4:38-44.
