Living Faithfully Amid Spiritual Decline 6: The God of Great Reversals - 2 Kings 5

We live in a time of spiritual decline. Our nation is one, it seems, that wanders from God. But that doesn't mean that God stops working or that there aren't people eager to do his will. There's probably fewer of them, but they just stand out brighter, as bright lights against the dark backdrop. And God manifests his powers and his presence. God is still ruling, reigning, he's on the throne and he shows his power to raise one up and to bring another down. He does that by his own hand. He's a God of great reversals. That is what I want to think with you about today. God is known throughout the Scriptures as a God of great reversals. He reverses our situations both ways. He does that for people. He brings some up and he brings some down. I want to read a really delightful story from 2 Kings 5. Our theme is how to live faithfully amid spiritual decline.
