📖 “Peace I leave with you; My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. There’s a kind of peace the world offers us, and it usually sounds like this: “Once things settle down, you’ll feel better.” Once the kids sleep through the night. Once the house is clean. Once the bills are paid. Once life slows down. But if you’re a mom, you already know the truth: life rarely settles down for long. There’s always another mess, another need, another schedule change, another emotional moment. If our peace depends on our circumstances, then our peace will always be fragile. In this episode of Rooted Woman, we talk about the difference between the world’s version of peace and the peace Jesus offers us. In John 14:27, Jesus promises a peace that doesn’t disappear when life gets loud. His peace isn’t dependent on a calm schedule or perfect circumstances — it’s anchored in His presence. One of the biggest reasons we struggle to live from a place of peace is because we’re trying to live from a place of control. When life feels uncertain, our instinct is to tighten our grip. We try to control outcomes, schedules, emotions, expectations, and even how our children will turn out. But control is exhausting, and it’s a burden God never asked us to carry. Peace isn’t found in holding everything together. Peace is found in surrender. In this conversation, we explore what it looks like to release the pressure of trying to be everything for everyone and instead trust the One who is already holding it all together. Because you were never meant to be the savior of your home — you already have a Savior, and His name is Jesus. You’ll also hear about simple daily rhythms that help cultivate peace in the middle of real life — not a perfect life. Things like opening your Bible for a few minutes in the morning, whispering prayers throughout your day, worshiping while you fold laundry, or stepping outside for a quiet moment with God. Peace is not just a feeling. It’s a rhythm we practice and return to again and again. If you’re in a season where peace feels far away, this episode is a reminder that peace is not something you have to manufacture. It’s something Jesus has already given you. Sometimes the invitation is simply to slow down long enough to receive it. 🌿🌿 If this encouraged you, please share it with a friend who needs hope today.
