LIVING HONESTLY

Scripture: 2 Corinthians 8:21 "Providing for honest things, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men." Living honestly means choosing integrity in every area of life—whether people are watching or not. Paul’s words remind us that our lives are lived before both God and man, and our actions should reflect truth, trustworthiness, and moral uprightness. Honesty builds credibility and honours God. It's easy to be tempted by shortcuts, small lies, or compromises, especially when they seem to offer quick solutions. But living honestly is a daily commitment to align our character with Christ, who is the Truth. It means our words, decisions, and dealings are clean and open, without deception. When we live with honesty, we create an atmosphere of trust and peace around us. Our lives become a testimony that God’s people are different—that integrity still matters and reflects God’s nature. It also gives us a clear conscience and deepens our relationship with the Lord. Today, ask yourself: Am I being honest not just with others, but with God and myself? What area of my life needs to reflect more integrity? Prayer: AlmightyFather, help me to live honestly before You and others. Let my life be marked by truth in word and deed. Strengthen me to resist the temptation to compromise, and let my integrity bring You glory. In Jesus' name, Amen.
