Living Humbly and Sensitively in Love

Subscribe ▼ Show Notes Today we address the way we are to live in community. What does it mean to love each other? What does Scripture say about how we are to love each other? I discuss Paul’s admonition in Romans 12 to “outdo one another in showing honor.” I can imagine a beautiful world wherein every human attempts to employ this imperative. The busyness of life and our selfishness can get in the way, but what a world we would live in if we all had a contest to see who can employ unconditional love for others most fully. “Outdo One Another in Showing Honor” Paul goes on to discuss loving our enemies. This concept is challenging for me. How are we to love our enemies? We discuss this important concept in today’s episode of Relentless Truth. Meeting the physical needs of our enemies is a beautiful, life-changing truth. Humble, Sensitive Living Contrary to our culture, we are instructed to live a humble, sensitive life. We are to submit to government, to each other, and even to our enemies. This is the good life. It is better than “the American way.” It is better than winning at everything we do. It is better than achievement of our goals. Focusing our lives on humble, sensitive living is a peaceful place of contentment in a world that is hungry for something it struggles to identify. I discuss our relationship with government in this episode. God ordained government, and we are to come under the authority of all of our governmental entities.
