In Matthew 7, Jesus shows us that we can pray how we want because of who we pray to (our Father in Heaven); and that this Father’s character changes why we pray (and how we live). Outline: (1) Jesus says how to pray (2) Jesus says who we pray to Discussion Questions: What is your gut-reaction to the passage or sermon? What does prayer feel like for you? (Maybe one good feeling and one bad feeling?) Do you feel permission to “say anything” to God? Why or why not? What would you ask for if could really ask God for anything? (Why that thing?) How does who God is transform a specific doubt you have- about God or your life?
