Living in the Light (1 John 2:7-17)

from Sermons from Aberdeen Christian Fellowship

The one who trusts in the death of Jesus Christ, is able to commune with the God of light. But, this is not an excuse to live in ways that contradict the God of light. God calls the believer to live in the light. What this means is to live a life motivated by the love of God. This love is firstly evident in the way a believer treats other believers. We increasingly learn to live in love as we recognise that the evil one is overcome, that we are stronger in God that we think we are, as we immerse ourselves in the Word of God and as we guard against the values of the world.
