Living in the Power of the Holy Spirit | Two Minute Daily Devotional

When we receive the Holy Spirit, we receive power from God, and that power is meant to be demonstrated. What I sense today is that much of the Church is not living in that power or demonstrating it to the world. So, I would ask: if you have received the Holy Spirit, what difference has it made in your life? When we lay hands on people in the name of Jesus, it is He who heals – not us. We are simply His willing vessels. The call to “repent and be converted” is a call to change. Conversion is more than simply believing; it is a transformed life that reflects Christ. In the book of Acts, we read that the disciples and the early Church devoted themselves daily to meeting together in the temple courts and in their homes. They praised God, enjoyed the favour of the people, and the Lord added to their number day by day. How I long to see that reality again – that every day people are coming to faith, being transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit, and being added to the Church.
