Living Life Well — Week 7

Hindsight, the saying goes, is 20/20 — but Scripture insists the future can be just as clear, and the parable of the talents in Matthew 25 is offered here as God's advance blueprint for how a life on earth can echo into eternity. Working through the master who entrusts five, two, and one talents, this message lands on a single conviction: God owns everything, and we are stewards, not owners. The tithe is framed as a declaration of that ownership — keep nine, be obedient with one — and the “wicked, lazy servant” becomes a warning about burying what we were given out of fear. The judgment that follows is recast not as the great white throne but as the bema seat, a podium where faithful stewards are cheered on rather than condemned. The call is to live as kingdom investors rather than earthly spenders, storing up treasure that moth and rust cannot destroy.
