August 10, 2025 In Week 6 of Living the Mission, we turn to the phrase “lives of prayer” in our church’s mission statement. Drawing from Philippians 4:4–7 and Luke 11:1–13, Pastor Tim unpacks prayer as more than a last resort—it’s the constant power source that grounds us in God’s presence. Paul shows us prayer as the antidote to anxiety, a rhythm of honest requests, gratitude, and God’s peace that guards our hearts. Jesus reminds us that prayer is learned, persistent, and relational, rooted in trust in the Father’s goodness. This message invites us to move beyond talking about prayer to living as a praying people, setting simple rhythms and praying with one another, so that our lives and our church remain anchored in God’s presence and peace.
