Living the Word: The Lost Dog and the Lost Sheep

In this episode of Faith is a Journey, we share a personal story that happened just this morning. While getting ready for church, we encountered a neighbor’s dog running loose in our neighborhood. What started as a simple walk quickly turned into a decision: ignore the situation so we could get to church on time… or stop and help. That small moment led us to reflect on several teachings of Jesus, including the parable of the lost sheep and His response to the Pharisees about helping others even on the Sabbath. Sometimes faith isn’t about hearing the message inside the church walls. Sometimes it’s about living it out in the moments we didn’t plan for. We also talk about the difference between knowing scripture and actually living it, and how small acts of obedience can reveal what real faith looks like in everyday life.
