Living Under a Tyrant

from The God of Second Chances · host Ron Clark

Decades have passed...a new Pharaoh rules. This one was not friendly to the Jewish people and began a campaign of oppression, terror, and violence because he was afraid of those who had become his best citizens. As with so many rulers he oppressed those whom he was to protect. During this oppression God's people did what they had to do to survive. Like so many today, survival forces us to protect and care for the vulnerable. Yahweh was not blind--and their cries ascended to the throne of heaven like smoke from the fire. It was not time to act yet--God allowed the people to find a way. Sometimes we believe God is silent--yet it is simply a time for those of us who believe to find a way until our Lord intervenes. How do we live and act through faith during times of oppression, violence, and fear?
