Living Water

from Flipping Tables · host Julie Sexton

Welcome to the Table! I'm joined in this episode by my dear friend, mentor, and favorite Bible teacher. Mary Beth Ludt teaches us from John 4. You're going to love her fresh takes on this passage brought to you by a woman Bible teacher. This is a Table Flipping conversation Jesus has with the Samaritain woman.  Women loves this woman. Her story resonates with us. We don't even need to know about her past. The way Jesus talked to her is what draws us near. We love the kindness and love Jesus extended to her. Jesus went to the well to wait for her. He sought her out. I picture Jesus watching her as she approaches with a smile. "Here she comes." His pulse is beginning to race, because He knows He's about to change her life. He can barely contain His joy. He's going to remove her shame. He's going to bring her out of isolation and turn her into a missionary.  Jacob's well was dug in the days of Genesis. It still exists today. The name of the town is now called Nabulus. The well is located at the base of Mount Gerizim. To this very day, Samaritians still live on Mount Gerizim, and you can still see the ruins and remains of the Samaritian temple toward the top of the mountain. We're still talking about this epic encounter.  John 4 Genesis 3:1-10 Psalm 22:5, 34:5 Romans 5:5 The Chosen clip from season 1 episode 8 Picture of the well Join me at the study table.
