Living Well with Dementia - Young Onset Programme

Over the past 10 weeks, disAbility Cornwall & Isles of Scilly in partnership with LivDem delivered a landmark Young Onset Dementia Pilot Programme in Redruth for people under 65 who have recently been diagnosed with dementia. The LivDem (Living Well with Dementia) Young Onset Programme was designed to help people: ✅ Understand what’s happening in the early stages of dementia ✅ Feel more confident about the future ✅ Gain practical information they can use ✅ Share experiences in a safe and understanding space As the programme came to an end this month, we took some time to reflect with the people who made it so special. We spoke to attendees about their experiences, what the group has meant to them, and the friendships and memories they have made along the way. We recorded these conversations to capture the voices and stories of the people involved. A huge thank you to everyone who took part in the Young Onset Dementia Programme and shared their experiences with us. It has been a privilege to be part of such an inspiring community.
