First, we'll start with an short introduction and a poem/thank you to Jocelyn Vaughn who I met thanks to Caroline the amazing victim advocate who was working for the Miami-Dade Police Department when I reported (had my brother arrested).  Caroline, the victim advocate helped me greatly by patiently helping me and pointing me in the right direction (therapy, services, support groups) helping me to find footing and get the long awaited help I needed to begin my healing journey. Saprea is one of the organizations that Caroline led me to and it's how I met Jocelyn Vaughn and Jessica Bradley, the two amazing women who I'm blessed to call 'friend' and are the main featured voices on this episode.  Saprea is committed to leading the charge against child sexual abuse and I want you to support them and show them love. The organization offers free resources and services made available thanks to the support of their donors and you can help them by donating a dollar or two.  Saprea is not affiliated with a religious organization or church they are helping by using scientifically proven, practical methods for confronting and overcoming child sexual abuse. Note: While there is laughter and joviality during this episode it's important for everyone to understand that child sexual abuse can affect many people in different ways. If you or someone you know is affected by this episode please consider taking action and showing yourself compassion by getting support. If you don't contact Saprea look for your local community support or consider Saprea's at home services like the support groups and the webinar (led by Jessica Bradley who is a featured voice in this podcast episode).  featured voices : Jessica Bradley, Saprea : https://saprea.org/healing-webinar/  Jocelyn Vaughn, Eye am More: https://www.eyeammore.com/  other voices in this episode: Sam Park: www.samforgeorgia.com  Sarah (featured in a previous episode)  related past episodes:   The trip to Miami (20 year High School Reunion) Why I had my brother arrested. 🙌🏾 Show Sponsors: support our eBay shop   ,Poshmark store or using our coupon code to purchase from this show's sponsors. Running In Slow Motion with Sidney & Tamra Smith You Hear Good Things podcast network Comedian Sidney Smith and his wife Tamra — a sharp-witted educator with a soft spot for flowers — team up to navigate life, goals, and culture at their own hilarious, at times, in-depth pace. They call it “running in slow motion,” and that pretty much sums up the vibe. This isn’t a marriage podcast (their union ranks a generous 5 out of 10, after all), but it is a refreshingly honest, smart, and funny take on relationships, ambition, and everyday chaos. From real talk to pop culture and unexpected interviews, it’s a joyride of relatable moments and laugh-out-loud observations. Explicit What You Thought ? Think of it as a functional drunk, except we could fail a sobriety field test sober. They discuss the bigger news offbeat news stories of the week, but also the hard hitting stuff like, “When someone has multiple children at once, twins, triplets, etc., who is the planned child, and who is the accident child?”. They also make fun of people who can’t seem to get out of their own way in life, and bust each other’s balls along the way.
