LL013: An Interview with Scott Brills

from Live Limitless · host Matthew G. Bailey | World Travelling Writer and Photographer

In the thirteenth episode of the Live Limitless podcast I chat with Scott Brills of ScottBrills.com. I met Scott for the first time at World Domination Summit through a mutual friend and have since spent a week with him in the deserts of Nevada for Burning Man. As an avid traveller myself, I loved listening to all the adventures Scott has packed into his life and as an entrepreneur I was interested in how he funded everything. After being accepted in a year-long work/study program in Japan straight out of high school, Scott’s thirst for travel began. Not to long after that, Scott started a web design company, which funded his incredible lifestyle for ten years.  While he still does consulting for tech companies, his main focus is building up Pamoja Safaris; a new company he co-founded with a partner in Tanzania, Africa. In this episode, we talk about: How Scott has supported his travelling lifestyle for the last 10 years Scotts new safari company in Tanzania, Africa Scotts incredible rickshaw race coming up soon Attending conferences and how to connect with people World Domination Summit and not approaching people as a fan His favourite books and plans for SE Asia travel Scotts advice for living limitless And MUCH more…   Listen below or download from iTunes by clicking here. (Please note: If you’re reading this from email, you may need to visit the site to listen) If you’re running short on time; (5:00): We talk about Scotts travel plans to SE Asia and how he travels (7:55): We talk about Scotts plans to dominate the rickshaw race and the charities it benefits (11:22): I ask Scott how he finds out about things like the rickshaw race and the costs involved (14:20): We talk about Scotts new safari company in Africa (24:15): We talk about Scotts web design company that has supported him for the last 10 years and how he got started  (28:25): We talk about some of the issues with overseas partnerships (31:00): We talk about how Scott began finding web design clients back in the day (33:00): We talk about attending conferences and making the right connections (37:35): We talk about connecting with people online when you can’t make a conference (41:00): We you shouldn’t approach anyone as a fan (43:15): We talk about World Domination Summit (45:45): We talk about the importance of making friends with one person who is good at connecting others (49:20): We talk about Scotts favourite books (53:15): Scotts quick advice to those wanting to live more limitless Name drops in the podcast include: Natalie Sisson’s Suitcase Entrepreneur The Adventurists  World Domination Summit Author James Michener 4-Hour Work Week Vagabonding by Rolf Potts *** Hope you enjoyed this interview with Scott Brills. The stigma of mental health within those who serve in the shadow of the cross is something that invokes the stigma of fear. Many of those in the clergy will choose to suffer in their despair rather than reaching out for help. Sometimes those suffering choose to wait until it's too late to get the real help that they need. At Wounded Warriors of the Cross our mission is to lift the stigma and the veil of silence that encompasses clergy mental health and assist those who suffer in silence. Wounded Warriors of the Cross is here to shed the light of Christ's love into those dark places.
