The Iron Brigade's journey to Madripoor gets off to a turbulent start when the villain Crossbones hijacks their flight, forcing the team into a high-altitude battle to save everyone on board. After stopping the takeover, they meet a fellow mercenary team that shares valuable information about the growing number of hired guns who have mysteriously vanished. Upon arriving in Madripoor, the Brigade barely has time to catch their breath before stepping in to rescue a woman from an attack by the Blob and Toad. With the villains defeated and more pieces of the mystery falling into place, the team's path is finally clear.
