Since his youth, Raphael faced persecution in his community, especially in the 1990s, when expressing his sexual and gender identity was completely unacceptable. At that time, he and his friends had to secretly produce theater performances away from the eyes of society, as it would threaten their professional and social lives if their true identities were discovered.Over time, Raphael decided to immigrate to Germany in search of freedom and acceptance. However, life abroad wasn't as he had hoped.
