Loaf 1 - Slice 21: The Final Whistle
from Loaf of Bread GAA Hosted by Jason Keelan
On Slice 21 we blow the final whistle on Loaf 1 of the podcast with referees and all round characters Barry Kelly, Niall Ward and Ken "Bangie" Gunning. We talk all things such as where Bangie got his nickname, Barrys favourite AI hurling final to referee and dealing with Brian Cody in 2014, Niall giving a red card 5min into a huge county final, Barry being mentioned on the 2 Johnnies, Bangie celebrating with Rochfortbridge in 2017, and a very special Referee Banter Section. In it, I throw some stories about them out that were sent in by the listeners which range from Bangies apparent timekeeping issues, Samba Soccer, Niall scoring the greatest point ever in an U16 county final, and why Westmeath legend and Shandonagh manager, Kevin Hickey, still holds a small grudge against Barry.
