Loai and Maurane: Inside Gaza, where aid is urgently needed

Welcome to this new episode.It will be a bit different from what you are used to listening to on our mic, as my guests are two colleagues from Super-Novae.One is Loai. Loai is Super-Novae’s country director in Gaza. The other one is Maurane. She is our desk officer for the region.In October 2023, the conflict between Israel and Gaza escalated once again. Resulting from various intrigues and stakeholders, it is a very sensitive topic that has impacts way outside the territorial borders. In this episode, we are not going to discuss the conflict itself. We believe, as a development and humanitarian organization, that our role is not to take sides but rather to make every effort to pursue our mandate with those in need and to support the right to life, security, and dignity.So, in this episode, we'll listen to Loai telling us about the reality in which he lives as a human being, head of a family, but also as staff of Super-Novae.
