LOCAL: 3-on-3 tournament set for Saturday

A 3-on-3 basketball tournament is slated for Saturday, Aug. 1. Registration is set for 9 a.m., with games to follow at 10 a.m. Tournament organizer Chris Gorter said because of the expected weather, games most likely will take place in Harmon Park. Pipestone Area Schools’ gymnasium is a back-up option. There will be several divisions: men’s (18-plus), women’s (18-plus), boys (14-18), girls (14-18), seventh and eighth grade combined (boys, girls or coed) and fifth and sixth grade combined (boys, girls or coed).
