Local Authority meeting in Sligo hears concerns over new ambulance and training base

Questions are being asked over when the new ambulance and training base will be established in Sligo. The proposed facility was given the green light a year ago with a site earmarked at Maugheraboy on the outskirts of Sligo town. It had been set to go to design stage in early 2025 and now attentions are turning to when a design and planning application will be forthcoming. Fine Gael Cllr Thomas Walsh says it's badly needed and the project must get off the ground as soon as possible:
