When you see a problem, you do what you can to fix it! And that is what compelled Julie Shay to start the Good Neighbors Group! What started as word-of-mouth, neighborhood chit-chat, morphed into a community newsletter and is now a full-blown non-profit determined to reduce waste in our community by recycling, repurposing, and rehoming. Sure we all know about recycling, but how much thought do we give to renovations or upgrades? But their efforts do not stop there. From Donations Before Dumpsters to their Annual Earth Day Festival, to One Clean Block--their impact is spreading! Today's spotlight will get you thinking of ways that you can help.
