Often, a USNA grad will go on to do great things. And Joe Kirby is no exception. When Great Harvest Bread Company in West Annapolis was on the precipice of closing, Kirby swooped in and took the reins of this local icon. After a brief closure, Great Harvest Bread Company is alive, well, and thriving in the familiar red building at the corner of Ridgely and Melvin Avenues. And Kirby has plans for the future, including an expanded menu (can you say sandwiches and coffee), and an expanded building. We discuss the most popular breads, the way Great Harvest supports the community, and the different ways that organizations and businesses can always use a great loaf of bread--baked in West Annapolis that same day!
