LOCAL: Ewert gym floor undergoes 'extreme makeover'

The gymnasium inside the Ewert Community Recreation Center has reopened. The gym is available for several sports: basketball, volleyball and pickleball. With the set up, two pickleball matches may be played at once. Citizens may also use the gym as a walking facility. There are rules in place with the facility: non-marking tennis or gym shoes must be worn, no street shoes are allowed, and neither is soccer. Youth volleyball was conducted in the center during the week. Current hours for the facility are: 5:30 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and 1-5 p.m. Sundays....
