LOCAL: Pipestone Club Championship this weekend

The Pipestone Country Club will conduct its annual club championship this Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 15-16. Event officials reported the deadline to participate in the club championship (which is members only) is noon Thursday, Aug. 13. The deadline for the two-person horse race is noon on Friday, Aug. 14. Sign-up sheets in the clubhouse are filling up fast. For the horse race, everyone tees off on Hole No. 1. This is a handicap event.
