The Local Selection Mix returns this week with Fuaim resident and co-founder Becky. The young selector has provided an hour long mix showcasing her broad palette and knowledge for low end submerged dance music far beyond her years. Becky is best known for her work with her collective Fuaim who she co-founded alongside Feargal O’Connell, Sean Murphy & Sean Andrews. The crew of young DJs host a monthly show on DDR as well as their Fuaim Mix Series and hosting parties across Tengu & The Bernard Shaw. Having recently made her debut supporting Sharda, DJ Heartstring and local stars such as Dylan Forbes & Síofra, she is swiftly making a name for herself in the Irish music community. Her sets create a speedy blend through a variety of genres, often incorporating bass, breaks, garage, progressive house & everything in between. Becky is quickly becoming one of Dublin’s fastest rising star’s, as the youngster holds no qualms in being feverishly diverse in her output. Her commitment to heterogeneity show’s a maturity for a DJ who has not fully flexed her technicality on the club circuit, but her late night appearances thus far have give dancers a taste of bass heavy stories that are yet to be told. Becky’s contribution to the Four Four Local Selection Mix is a slippery ride through alien territories and trembling bass heavy manoeuvres. Slick two-step grooves, meet squelching electro rhythms and blissful trance soaked cuts for an amalgamation of everything glossy, gritty and profoundly bouncy.
