Local Selection 199: Scidley Rott

This week’s Local Selection comes from Dublin techno legend Scidley Rott, AKA Debbs. Playing the best of slamming techno, blistering breaks and sheer debauchery, the 199th edition of the series is face meltingly good. I’ve been lucky enough to go back a long time with Debbs having booked her for our SubSession parties in the legendary Print Shop down in Cork, and she has always been a cut above the rest bringing a huge selection of classic and ravey techno to all her sets. Having grown up in Dublin and being inspired by the deadly techno scene at the time, she is a consistent collector and a purveyor of the best in underground techno, which her extensive vinyl collection is a testament to. Well known for playing raves up and down the country, along with her residency as part of the d:fuse crew and a regular feature with Interruption and Annaghtek , she has earned a reputation for always packing a punch. Most recently she’s embraced the digital realms of DJing so we expect to be hearing a lot more mixes from her. In the meantime, turn this one UP!
