This week’s entry to the Four Four Local Selection Mix Series welcomes Dublin Digital Radio and The Midnight Disco Resident Sahana. The New York City-born and now Dublin-based DJ has supplied an hour-long recording that traverses a wide range of atmospheres and genres. Dig in! This week’s entry to the Local Selection Mix Series features an eclectic mix of house and techno from Dublin Digital Radio and The Midnight Disco Resident Sahana. She provides a stunning selection of quality dance music throughout as she gradually raises the energy during the duration of the recording, including a flurry of old-school techno gems that are full of flavour in the process. Sahana operates a monthly show on DDR titled ‘Mast Hour’ where she uses her platform to champion DJs of colour. Some of the guests on her show include reputable DJs Ricky Chong, Laurence Kapinga and JWY who have appeared on the show since its inception earlier this year. Sahana has also provided recordings of her own to the show as well as appearances on some excellent mix series which include Skin & Blister’s Minx Series, WWW (DDR), Efa O’Neill’s Out of Space (DDR) and Foxgluv. Her hard work and dedication as an artist has earned her lucrative support slots for artists such as Denis Sulta and Haai. Not to mention an all-night-long show in Izakaya’s famed funk bunker.
